Welcome! We’ve Been Busy!

We have been hard at work rolling out the next wave of Broken Icon Comics. Since 2019 is our 10 year anniversary, we wanted to make it a special year. With five new trades releasing at Tricon in June, there is a lot of pages hitting the tables.

At the front of the vanguard is the re-release of Nightmare Unknown: Crimes Against Humanity. This tale from writer James Maddox and artist Rob Dumo was one of our most popular books, and is finally available again. It has been given a new cover, new setup, and fresh letters by Justin Birch, making this classic BIC book stand tall right along side all of our newest offerings.

Continuing the Nightmare Unknown series, James offers up the newest tale, Ogden Falls. With art by Landon Franklin, grayscales by Brandon Franklin, and letters by Justin Birch, this thriller is not one to miss.

For those that like things with a little more laughs and satire, Frank from writer Eric Watkins and artist Todd Beistel is hands down the cheekiest zombie book on this side of the planet.

The Incredibly Odd and Eerie Tales of Two-Gun Thomas Coe takes you on a ride through different Earths, and all the mishaps that go along with a displaced cowboy and his cyborg sidekick. With the team of Eric Watkins writing, Tristan Kelly illustrating, Nick Wentland coloring, and Justin Birch lettering, Thomas Coe is truly an all-star offering.

Last but not least, the highly anticipated Among the Willows: Bound by Blood. Collecting the entire first arc into one collected volume, this 170 page beast offers one of the greatest western stories out there, collected here for the first time. Sam Romesburg and Adam Meadors took no shortcuts while crafting this amazing tale.

Among some of the very newest offerings is a preview of The Strong, by Chad Strohl. A mix of horror, mystery, and action, this story is sure to please a wide audience with it’s engaging story and strong characters.

Mallory reaches issue number 4 with Amanda Scharf hard at work bringing this popular character to life. Both The Strong and Mallory will be available at Tricon, where you can grab the books and meet the creators themselves.

And of course, all of this is not to overshadow this amazing new website! A long time in the works, BIC made it a priority to update and modernize our website and online presence to make it easier than ever to check out BIC’s books, news and events. You’ll find an overhauled store, fresh creator pages, and a much improved mobile experience.

So, check out the STORE to grab some books, or check out the EVENTS to see where you can stop by a table and chat.

We here at BIC want to thank each and every person who has ever stopped by Broken Icon Comic’s tables, website, or social media to buy a book, tell us about your favorite BIC stories, or just to say hello. We create comics because we love comics, and because so many of you have shared in that passion with us, we’ve been able to do what we love for 10 years. None of this would have been possible without you. From all of us here at BIC, we thank you, and here’s to the next 10 years of making great comics together.
